Didn't we have BBCode formatting before?
Yes. BBCode formatting was disabled back in October 2020, when we had a hard drive crash that caused us to lose our server at the time. The package we were using to support BBCode formatting was discontinued by the developer, so when we got the server back online, we were unable to reobtain the package for BBCode support. Today, thanks to a friend named Josh, this has changed and we can support BBCode formatting once again! What is BBCode Formatting?
BBCode formatting is a simplified way to add styling to your messages without needing to have access to the ability to post raw HTML (which could be dangerous in the wrong hands). BBCode works a bit like this:• [ b ]Bold[ / b ]
• [ i ]Italic[ / i ]
• [ orangered ]Colors![ / orangered ]
... and more!
We've also threw in some formatting options while composing messages to help guide you on the way.

Editor's Note: As of 13-Jan-2024, the date of transition to Polestar Forum Software, the private message system no longer supports BBCode formatting. This is by design and not a bug. This news article pre-dates Polestar conversion and its content has been ported over as it was when initially written.
