About Us

Who are we?

NormanNetworksITS serves the Mohave Tri-State area with home and small-business IT service support. Whether you have servers and workstations or a personal computer to check email and stay in touch with family, we offer both hardware and operating system troubleshooting. That's not all, though - we offer options in web-based systems if you're in need of a web presence.

Our own web projects focus on exposure in both the business/professional and entertainment/gaming spectrums, and our sites and services aim to conceptualize solutions for any organizational needs from the conference room on the 14th floor to the front lines of a gamers' LAN party.

What are we working on?

  • NormanNetworksITS
    • We're constantly working on our home to ensure it meets the needs of our users and visitors. NormanNetworksITS, now powered by Polestar CMS, delivers the latest content and information straight from us with improved ease of use and is built on a very robust and secure framework.
  • RSPClan
    • It's back - RSPClan.com has returned to serve the RuneScape in-game clan. There's a dedicated forum and Discord server too, so if that's something you might be interesred in, stop by and check it out! (The next section of this page contains historical information about the clan and its website(s) over the years, including through the offline/AFK period.)

What have we done before?

  • ChoreTracker
    • This one was more for the family, but it totally existed. NormanNetworksITS accounts with valid permissions to enter this site were able to create and manage chores, issue points to users who completed chores, and any users who had built up a few points could cash them in for sweet rewards! It was essentially like an allowance, with extra steps. Better finish the chores on the dashboard before someone else does and snipes the points!
  • Minecraft Server
    • Initially launched in July 2013 as an attempt to revitalize OMEC Entertainment, GameServer1 (later renamed Annabel) had been running constantly and could serve up to 8 players. Until October 2019, the server was running "vanilla" (no mods) Minecraft (latest versions), but was ultimately closed permanently due to lack of use by any players for over 2 years. Some previous "maps" included:
      • Alexandria - Live Dates Unknown
      • Brutus - Live Dates Unknown
      • Constantine - Live Dates Unknown
      • Daedalus - 05-Aug-2017 thru 14-Oct-2017
      • Evangeline - 15-Oct-2017 thru Unknown
      • Faustus - Unknown thru 15-Jan-2019
      • Gabinus - 15-Jan-2019 thru 01-Oct-2019
The server map was renamed whenever the server was refreshed and a new world was generated. Typically, this only happened upon community request, however the most recent server refreshes were caused by forced wipe-and-reload of the server due to data loss and integrity issues. When possible, the server files for each previous map would be archived which allowed the server to be booted into an old world for nostalgic review of that particular world map.

To play, users would launch Minecraft and select "Multiplayer" from the menu. From there, they could add the server to their list by clicking "Add Server" or connect one-time by clicking "Direct Connect". In the server address field, they would have entered the IP address or dedicated URL string we had set up at the time.
  • MyOLMEC
    • MyOLMEC (My OnLine Multiplayer Entertainment Community) was a social-centric community for fans and players of online multiplayer games. This community was planned to feature a discussion forum, player-powered guides, and offer a central "hub" for fellow players from various player bases to interact and enhance their multiplayer gaming experience.
  • RSPClan, OMEC Games, and OMEC Entertainment
    • RSPClan
      RSPClan Forum Banner
RSPClan was our first ever project, dipping our toes in the water in 2004. This clan was a RuneScape-based adventure clan featuring monthly skilling events, PvM expeditions, and its own home website with a discussion forum and Knowledge Base. A primary systems crash near the end of 2007 caused updates and support for the website to cease, which eventually led to its closure and the community hanging on by a thread with loyal members continuing to participate in the discussion forum. The community migrated to an RSPClan replacement, "OMEC Games" (later "OMEC Entertainment") on 31-January 2010 and while the community did not grow, the loyal members continued to participate until the closure of OMEC Entertainment on 30-April 2012.

    • OMEC Games and OMEC Entertainment

An attempted reboot of OMEC Entertainment on 23-July 2013, featuring access to a dedicated community Minecraft server proved to be unsuccessful and the community was shut down for good in September 2013.

The idea that RSPClan could one day make a comeback has always been an idea in our minds, but has never resulted in much more. With the massive competition from established fan sites already off the ground, we find ourselves asking: does the community need another? Personally, I feel it would be very exciting to see an RSPClan reboot - and there are some ideas for something along those lines. So, for now, we keep our options open and hold on to the nostalgia we remember in case we are able to surface again!

Editor's Note: The clan is back (see section above) and this section remains as a historical documentation.
  • SporTracker - STATS (Score Table Analytics and Tracking System)
    • Believe it or not, this project was started out of partial boredom, partial social anxiety. That's a story for another time, but a group of friends and myself thought it would be really cool to have a tracking system for scores for some light-competitive games we enjoyed together, such as frisbee golf (frolf), dart golf (dolf), and other things that just don't matter. I started a very rough project on a home server at the friends house and we enjoyed seeing our scores compared with others, but more importantly our own stats.

A full rework of SporTracker has been completed and we are currently awaiting the finalization of our web systems restructuring for that release.
  • USPS Apps & Postal Sandbox
    • The USPS Apps and Postal Sandbox modules were sandbox app suites designed for use by the United States Postal Service. Apps included tools for tracking overtime utilization, evening delivery unit closeout consolidation, and more. For security reasons, the United States Postal Service has restricted access to sites hosed on dynamic IP addresses (which we used to be at the time), so this project is officially discontinued as of 22-October 2019. While NormanNetworksITS has changed hosting, there are currently no plans to resume this project.
